Here is how this works in practice. We give line producing that takes a production from a costed budget to a fully operational shoot. Our team builds and manages the budget, hires and contracts crew, schedules the shoot, sources gear and locations, and runs the day-to-day logistics that keep filming on track and on cost. We are the operational engine of the production, setting up departments, controlling spend, solving problems and reporting to producers and financiers across.

Here is the breakdown. In the Netherlands, crew engagements run under the Dutch film-industry collective labour agreement (the CAO), and we manage scheduling and rates so the production stays compliant. Budgets are built in euros, account for 21% VAT, and are structured to capture the country Film Production Rebates — a 35% cash rebates on qualifying Dutch spend administered by the Netherlands Film Fund — which materially affects how a production is planned and funded.

Here is the short of it. Line producing in the Netherlands gains from a country built for efficient production. It is compact and exceptionally well connected, so crews and gear move easily between Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Utrecht and rural or coastal locations within a single schedule, keeping travel and relocation costs lean. The crew base is deep and English-fluent, gear moves freely within the EU single market, and the regulatory environment — city permits, ILT oversight of drone work, RDI range rules — is predictable once you know it.

Here is what that looks like on the ground. We bring set up supplier relationships and a working knowledge of how Dutch shoots are run. This includes the conditions attached to funding from bodies such as NPO and the CoBO co-production fund. The result is a production that is well ordered, financially controlled and well staffed, with the budget delivered as planned and the rebates secured.
