Our team arranges flights, ground transport, lodging and unit moves, and sets up the daily transfers between locations and unit bases that a shooting schedule demands. The Netherlands is one of the easiest countries in Europe to move around: it is small, flat and densely connected by road and rail, so locations in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague and Utrecht — and rural sites such as Kinderdijk or the polders — are mostly within short drives of one another.

Here is the breakdown. We plan transport around the call sheet, account for the tight car access in historic city centres and along the canals, and keep travel days to a minimum. Because the country is in the EU, Schengen and the Eurozone, cross-border movement of staff and crews is straightforward and costs are managed in euros.

Here is the short of it. Efficient logistics in the Netherlands also depend on knowing a few practical realities. Gear moves freely within the EU single market, so kit travelling from elsewhere in Europe needs no ATA Carnet or customs clearance — only gear from outside the EU needs carnet processing through Dutch Customs (Douane). This we handle when needed. The temperate, windy maritime climate makes weather a logistics factor: we build flexibility into transport plans for rain-affected schedules and coastal or Wadden Island work where ferries and tides apply.

Amsterdam Schiphol is a major global hub with great connections, simplifying the arrival of global units. We set up lodging close to locations to reduce daily transfer time.
