Here is how this works in practice. We manage the contractual framework that holds a production together, from crew and cast deal memos to location agreements, supplier contracts and service plan. Our team prepares, reviews and tracks contracts so that obligations, payment terms, deliverables and rights are clearly logged and enforceable. Crew engagements in the Netherlands are shaped by the Dutch film-industry collective labour agreement (the CAO). This sets terms on working hours, turnaround, breaks and rates, and we make sure person contracts align with it.

Here is the breakdown. We also set up with the NBF, the Dutch pro association of film and TV makers, where relevant, and handle the practicalities of contracting both Dutch and global staff. Because the country is in the EU, Schengen and the Eurozone, contracts denominated in euros and structured around EU labour and tax rules keep cross-border shoots straightforward, and all records can be managed in English.

Here is the short of it. Good contract running is also risk running, and the Dutch regulatory environment makes records important. Engagements that involve personal data — talent releases, crew records, location-owner agreements — fall under GDPR and the oversight of the Dutch data-protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, so we build privacy-compliant terms into the forms. Insurance needs, indemnities, liability allocation and dispute-resolution clauses are tracked alongside the core agreements, and we keep a clear record of signatures, amendments and expiry dates across the production calendar.

Here is what that looks like on the ground. For co-productions backed by the Netherlands Film Fund or partners such as NPO. The CoBO fund, contractual structures must satisfy the financiers' conditions, and we manage that alignment. The result is a complete, auditable contract trail that protects the production, satisfies funders and insurers, and prevents disputes before they arise.
