Here is how this works in practice. We deliver 5.1 surround mixing on calibrated stages that meet ITU tracking standards, distributing dialogue, music and effects across six discrete channels with a dedicated low-frequency channel for physical impact. Our team sets up studio booking, stem preparation and printmaster creation so the surround mix lands cleanly within distribution specs. Most Dutch surround work is finished in Amsterdam, where dubbing stages serve feature documentary and drama, and in Hilversum, the broadcast-media hub where NPO programming is mixed.

Here is what we have to work with. We manage fold-downs to stereo and Dolby Atmos preparation where height channels are needed. We run translation checks across cinema and consumer playback so the mix holds up everywhere. Re-recording mixers handle panning auto, channel correlation and LFE running, and we build the master deliverables theatrical and streaming distributors expect. This includes separate music-and-effects stems for global versioning.

The Dutch subtitle-first custom means foreign content reaches audiences subtitled rather than dubbed, so first surround stems are preserved intact for Dutch and English versioning.
