Monitor & Video Village

Here is how this works in practice. We build complete video-village setups — director's and client monitors, wireless or hardwired video distribution, transmitters and receivers, recording and playback, tents, shade and seating — from Dutch rental vendors in the Amsterdam and Rotterdam production clusters, scaled to a lean documentary crew or a full commercial client village. Our team sets up the whole package. This includes power on the EU-standard 230V/50Hz mains, so the director and clients have a clear, trusted image.

Here is what that looks like on the ground. For pro tracking or distribution hardware not held in-country, gear moves freely by road from neighbouring Germany and Belgium under the EU single market, with no carnet needed for intra-EU transport, and hire from Dutch vendors counts as qualifying spend under the 35% Netherlands Film Production Rebates.

Here is the short of it. A video village in the Netherlands has to be a working environment in changeable weather. The temperate maritime climate is persistently wet and windy, so we rig weatherproof tenting, rain protection and condensation control as standard, and on the flat, open terrain of the polders and the North Sea coast — where the wind crosses freely — we weight and storm-strap tents and stands against gusts.

Here is how the picture comes together. Where the village runs on wireless video links, those operate on EU-harmonised range set up through the Dutch Authority for Digital Infrastructure (Rijksinspectie Digitale Infrastructuur / RDI), and we plan frequencies alongside the production's other RF kit. Amsterdam's canal ring, with narrow streets and tight space, shapes where a village can in person sit, and we plan its placement and cable runs location by location.
