Here is how this works in practice. We set up fully licensed aerial drone services across the Netherlands, supplying pilots who are skilled cinematographers as well as operators — they know shot composition, camera movement and storytelling, not just flying. Dutch drone teams hold operator sign-ups and type-based authorisations under the EU/EASA framework, administered by the Human Environment and Transport Inspectorate (Inspectie Leefomgeving en Transport / ILT). Our gear range runs from compact DJI systems to heavy-lift cinema sites carrying RED and ARRI bodies.

Here is what that looks like on the ground. We also field skilled FPV pilots for dynamic chase sequences, indoor flying and high-speed proximity work. The flat but photogenic Dutch landscape — the canal grid of Amsterdam, the windmills of Kinderdijk, the polders and tulip fields — rewards aerial coverage, and our team handles flight planning, risk assessments and the regulatory submissions each shoot needs. Crews arrive prepared with backup gear and many battery sets for efficient operation.

Here is the short of it. Airspace planning is the defining constraint of Dutch aerial work. The Netherlands is one of the most densely populated countries in Europe with some of its busiest airspace. Amsterdam Airport Schiphol (AMS), Rotterdam and Eindhoven all impose controlled airspace that limits where and how high a drone may fly without prior clearance. Our operators file for airspace planning well ahead of the shoot. Urban aerials over the canal ring or Rotterdam's port need city permits alongside the aviation forms.

Here is how the picture comes together. Night operations and off-limits-area flights need extra authorisation and planning lead time. The temperate maritime climate adds wind and changeable weather to the schedule — the open, flat terrain gives nothing to break a North Sea gust. The country Film Production Rebates — a 35% cash rebates on qualifying Dutch spend via the Netherlands Film Fund (Nederlands Filmfonds) — makes engaging a local aerial unit efficient for global shoots, and each flight is fully insured.
