Production Assistants

Here is how this works in practice. We supply production assistants who handle the day-to-day support work that keeps a Dutch production running. Our PAs cover the production office and the set: distributing call sheets and forms, managing transport and runs, supporting cast, helping with crowd control and clearances, and taking on whatever practical task the production coordinator or first AD assigns. They work within the CAO collective-labour-agreement framework. They are a common entry point into the Dutch film industry, so the pool is energetic and willing.

Here is the short of it. The production-assistant role is where much of the Dutch crew base starts. Many of the country's skilled coordinators, ADs and producers started as PAs and worked up through domestic drama, commercials and the global shoots that shoot in the Netherlands, often after training at the Netherlands Film Academy. That progression means PAs arrive on set already knowing how a pro Dutch unit runs.
